The Police in Luuka District have recovered the body of an 18-year-old girl who went missing on Tuesday.

Police have arrested Arafat Bukaya as a key suspect and is currently detained at Luuka central police station.
Robert Muzanya, the father to the deceased says that he placed several announcements on radio over his missing child on Wednesday.
“I discovered that my daughter had gone missing on Tuesday night at around 10:00 pm and after informing police on Wednesday morning, I placed several announcements over the same only to recover her dead body,” he said.
Maurice Nyonzima, the officer in- charge of Luuka Central Police Station says that the deceased is suspected to have eloped with her boyfriend Mutwalubi Ssabaki before her death.
“Our investigations indicate that Namuddu had eloped with her boyfriend, and they were living together in Kamuli district before the unfortunate incident,” he said.
Nyonzima adds that Ssabaki's national identity card was recovered from the deceased's pocket and will aid police investigations into the matter.
