An angry mob on Wednesday lynched a man over the alleged killing of an 18-year-old boy in Patongo Town Council, Agago District.

The Patongo Urban Council III Chairperson Joseph Komakech says that the suspect Ssalongo Doctor Makau 37, hacked the victim he had reportedly hired to lay bricks. According to Komakech, trouble started when the suspect reportedly picked up a quarrel with his wife that later ensued into a fierce fight.

Komakech says the deceased James Banya Lamot intervened in an attempt to separate the couple but however in the process, he was hacked to death by Makau using the axe.
