A mob on Wednesday killed a man suspected thief in  Kisanga A cell, Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Municipality.

Residents allege that Dennis Nguru aged 28 years old was nabbed with suspected stolen items in his house. They also suspected him of leading a gang that had been terrorising residents of Kizungu Cell.

Suspected thugs had earlier in the morning robbed a bajaj motorcycle and 500,000 shillings from Muthesule Bwambale at Jeliza Hotels, a few meters from Kasese Central police station.

The Rwenzori East Police Spokesperson Nelson Tumushiime said Nguru was a grinding mill operator from Kahokya in Mahango Sub County. He noted that police had launched investigations into both incidents.
