A mob on Wednesday killed a man suspected thief in Kisanga A cell,
Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Municipality.
Residents allege that Dennis Nguru aged 28 years
old was nabbed with suspected stolen items in his house. They also suspected him of leading a gang that had been terrorising residents of Kizungu Cell.
Suspected thugs had earlier in the morning robbed a bajaj motorcycle
and 500,000 shillings from Muthesule Bwambale at Jeliza Hotels, a few meters
from Kasese Central police station.

Tumushiime said Nguru was a grinding mill operator from Kahokya in Mahango
Sub County. He noted that police had launched investigations into both
incidents.

In November last year, a mob in Kisanga Cell, set ablaze two thugs
who were netted with suspected stolen chicken.
The
locals had mounted patrols following an increase in house break-ins in the area.
