The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje says Masaka Muslim leaders on are  involving in fraudulent sale of properties belonging to Uganda Muslim Supreme Council.

Sheikh Mubaje made the allegation while leading Unity prayers at Kitenga Mosque in Nyendo –Masaka Municipality. The Unity prayers are one Mubajje\'s latest attempts to reconcile warring factions among Muslims.

However, Mubaje used the unity prayers to speak tough against a section of Masaka Muslim faction leaders led by Sheikh Swaibu Ndugga, the rival Masaka district kadhi for alleged fraud. Sheikh Mubajje said that Sheikh Ndugga\'s  group had illegally sold several acres of Muslim land located at Bukiragi village in Ntusi Sub County.

Mubaje also said Masaka Muslim leaders  were illegally collecting money from properties belonging to Uganda Muslim Supreme Council around Masaka main mosque.

Mubaje says although Masaka High Court Registrar JB Ssegilinya issued an order allowing Uganda Muslim Supreme Council back to Masaka central mosque, Swaibu Ndugga and his group used violence to frustrate the court order.
