Several people have been abducted most especially women and children for ransom. Some of the kidnap victims have ended up dead. The most prominent is  Susan Magara who was kidnapped in February from Kabaka Anjagala rod on her way home.

Her kidnappers demanded a ransom of Shillings 700 million from her family, but all the same killed her after receiving the money.

Sheikh Waiswa also called upon Muslims to use the fasting period to continue praying for peace; unity and understanding one another globally while choosing peace over violence in times of misunderstandings.

He explained that the true test of belief goes beyond slogans and the dress code.

//Cue In: “The True….

Cue Out…cold blood,”//

He called on all believers to uphold the principle of the sanctity of life and respect the dignity of all humans, which are shared by different religious groups. He further appealed to the public to restrain from the sinful act and ensure that the sanctity of life is respected.

He prayed that the almighty God enables Muslims to fast and perform their best in this period.
