Sheikh Habibu Mande, the Kadhi Kabarole District Muslim Supreme Council is in trouble after attempts by the Mufti, Sheikh Ramathan Mubajje to save him hit a dead end.
A section of Muslims in Kabarole district want the Mufti to sack Sheikh Mande. The anti- Mande group from Burahya County accuses him for allegedly selling off Muslim property in the district and failing to account for funds.
They also accuse him of hiring out Muslim property without the consent of the District Muslim Council. Mufti Ramadhan Mubajje held a 10 hours meeting in vain on Wednesday with Mande's supporters and those opposed to his leadership but failed to reconcile the two factions.
The anti Mande group insisted that Mubajje, fires Mande, but instead said a committee should be setup to investigate the accusations against him.
This didn't go down well with the ant-Mande group who stormed out of the meeting and threatened to harm Mande. Sheikh Mubajje said that the committee will be chaired by the Resident District Commissioner Kabarole, Kakonge Kambarage and is expected to report back to Uganda Muslim Supreme Council in a month.

He warned the anti-Mande group not to be influenced by the Kibuli faction led by Sheik Zubairi Kayongo.
//Cue in: ilet these people#i

The leader of the anti-Mande group, Abdul Haadi Aladi vowed to push on and elect a parallel Khadi, unless Mande is sacked. He threatened to join the Kibuli faction.
