Mugisha Muntu Plegdes To End Beggar Mentality by Empowering Ugandans

The Alliance for National Transformation-ANT party presidential candidate Gen. Mugisha Muntu has pledged to empower Ugandans be self reliant not beggars.

In his address during a campaign rally on Thursday  at Lumino town council play ground, Muntu accused president Yoweri Museveni of turning Ugandans into beggars than working for themselves, a thing that has retarded the development of the country.

According to Muntu, if given mandate will ensure the social economic transformation through East Africa community integration to enable Ugandans do cross border trade in the region without stringent restrictions.

The presidential candidate condemned the mistreatment of Ugandans living in border districts of Busia, Tororo, and Namisindwa where Uganda revenue authority impounds the little goods one buys in neighboring Kenya for survival. "This has made people lose human dignity and consider themselves useless; less dignified than chickens." he said.

The presidential candidate also cautioned security forces to desist from being partisan, and pledged to instill discipline in security personnel. He warned that his government will not tolerate unprofessional conduct.
