There is a raging battle for space in Kyambogo, where supporters of both President Yoweri Museveni and Gen Henry Tumukunde’s are struggling to erect campaign posters ahead of presidential nominations.

Of the 10 candidates that have been cleared for nominations, only they have pinned posters along the Kyambogo Road. They include President Museveni, General Henry Tumukunde, and Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

However, with President Museveni’s posters dominating the place, General Henry Tumukunde’s posters are being placed close by, utilizing every little space left by the NRM candidate. But the errand boys, from the two sides, are blocking each other from accomplishing the task.

Although the Museveni team had concluded an area around Face technologies, when Gen Tumukunde’s team arrived, they stopped them from erecting any poster close to the NRM candidate claiming that space had been all taken.

The two teams exchanged insults before the Tumukunde side decided to pack and leave to another place on the same road.  According to one of the men pinning the posters on behalf of President Museveni, the owner of the place did not want any posters at the Ministry of Works building. However, they had sought permission to pin only President Yoweri Museveni’s posters.
