Aringa Kingdom in West Nile and the Muslim community have mourned Lt. Col. Ogole Abubakar
Acega. Acega 72 died on Thursday.
Acega was known for
commanding an operation in Northern Uganda against the Lord’s Resistance Army
rebels.He retired from the army in 2021.
Aringa Kingdom Prime
Minister, Lemeriga Fadhil, described the death of Acega as a great loss to the
entire Aringa Kingdom.
Lemeriga described Acega as a man who was wise, and
contributed greatly to the development
of the Aringa Kingdom.
He urged the other
serving officers to emulate him, so that they are remembered for their positive
contributions.

On Friday, the Muslim
Community in Arua City performed prayers for Acega at Arua Primary School
playgrounds.
Aringa Arua Community
Chairperson, Ezama Ham Mizamil,
described the deceased as a hero who rose through the ranks in the
army with a clean record.
