Ntungamo RDC on the Spot for Influence Peddling

Godfrey Kiiza, the Chairperson Ntungamo primary School Management Committee, says they are tired of influence peddling, which has continued to undermine the schools performance.
Justine Mbabazi, the Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner has come under fire from the management of Ntungamo primary school for influence peddling.

The school management accuses Mbabazi of directing the Ntungamo Town Clerk, Christopher Ahimbisibwe to rescind the transfer of three teachers from the school. The affected teachers are Mercy Orikiriza who was transferred to Maato Muslim primary school, Sausi Bettie posted to Kikoni Seventh day Adventist primary school and Denis Bamwiine, who was transferred to Nyakihanga primary school.

The school management pushed for the transfer of the trio for being habitual late comers. Instead of reporting to their new work stations, the teachers ran to the office of the Resident District Commission for protection prompting to direct the Town Clerk to rescind the transfer.

Godfrey Kiiza, the Chairperson Ntungamo primary School Management Committee, says they are tired of influence peddling, which has continued to undermine the school's performance. Kiiza says they intend to meet on October 24th, 2017 to decide their next course of action.

Justine Mbabazi, the Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner declined to comment on the matter and ordered journalists to leave her office.
