Despite silencing her critics by making a return to Parliament in Monday's elections, the new Woman Member of Parliament for Dokolo, Cecelia Ogwal, is not entirely satisfied with the way the polls were conducted.
Ogwal has disclosed that she plans to sue the Government of Uganda for election malpractices and violence that characterized the elections. She says Government deployed soldiers of the Uganda People's Defense Forces to harass and intimidate voters in her district.
Ogwal says the soldiers were ferried into Dokolo on Government-registered trucks. She says she has documented evidence, coupled with police and medical statements from more than 60 of her campaign agents, to back her claims.

Among those claiming he was a victim of the violence is Bonny Otyama Ogong, a brother to former cabinet minister. Felix Okot Ogong. He says he was kidnapped for supporting opposition candidates on the orders of his brother and was only released 30 minutes to the end of the elections.
