The truck which overturned killing one person and injuring more than 30 people
One person has died and 30 others were injured in an accident along the Soroti- Moroto Road.
The accident occurred on Saturday at 3 pm in Abela, Getom Sub County after a Fuso Lorry registration number UAL 522D lost control and overturned. The truck was carrying more than 60 women who were returning from attending a conference in Katakwi district.
They were heading to Kachumbala in Bukedea district.
Among the casualties were two pregnant women who were evacuated to Katakwi General Hospital and later transferred to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital.
The police were yet to establish the identities of the victims.
