The deceased has been identified as Christopher Mababazi 37 while the injured are Francis Byamukama 48 and another only identified as Kasangaki. They are all residents of Kinyamahwa village in Kyangwali sub county.
One person was hacked to
death and two others critically injured in Kikuube district on Monday night at around 11 p.m. The
incident happened in Kyangwali sub county.

Information obtained by Uganda
Radio Network-URN reveals that on Monday night, the trio while drinking in a
local bar were attacked by John Brown a resident of the same area.
He was armed with a panga and indiscriminately
started hacking people in the bar for unknown reasons.
In the process, Mbabazi
was hacked on the head, face and neck and died on the way as he was being
rushed to Kyangwali health center III while Byamukama and Kasangaki sustained
deep injuries to their heads, faces and necks.
They were rushed for treatment
at Kyangwali health center III where they are currently admitted.
Lawrence Maani, the area LCI
Chairperson says, it is not clear why Brown raided the bar and started hacking
people adding that after the incident, the suspect fled the village to an
unknown destination.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine
region police spokesperson has confirmed the incident and that investigations have
been initiated to ensure that the suspect is arrested.
He says, the deceased’s body was
picked by the police who conveyed it to the Kikuube health center IV for postmort, and was later handed over to the relatives for burial.
According to Hakiza, the postmortem
report indicated that the deceased succumbed to injuries inflicted on him by his
attacker.
Meanwhile, the police in Kagadi
are investigation circumstances surrounding the death of a 15-year-old juvenile
whose lifeless body was found lying by the road side.
The deceased has been identified
as Denis Kunihira, a residents of Nyabuhike B village in Kyenzige Sub-County
Kagadi district. His lifeless body was found lying by the road side by passersby on Monday morning who later authorities in the area.
John Turihamu the Local council
one chairperson Nyabuhike B village told Uganda Radio Network-URN in an
interview on Tuesday that, it is not clear what could have killed the deceased
person since his body had no injuries or signs of strangulation. He
suspects that the deceased could have died due to excessive consumption of
alcohol.
Francis Byamukama, LCIII Chairperson
of Kyenzige Sub-County has regretted the incident and appealed to the youths in the area to desist from excessive
consumption of alcohol but rather engage in productive work.
According to Julius Hakiza, the Albertine
region police spokesperson, the body was picked and conveyed to the Kagadi
general hospital for postmortem. The body was later handed over to the relatives
for burial.
