Paidha Black Angles Football Club have set their target on bouncing back to the Uganda Premier League.

The Club has been using the Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown to draw strategies of how to bounce back to retain their place in Uganda`s top tier football league.

The Zombo based club established in 1979 was fifth on the FUFA Big League Elgon group log when suddenly the League was canceled in March because of COVID-19.

Bhakit Yahya, the club`s Chief executive officer says they are using absence of active football to develop strategies of raising finances and having proper systems so that they can attain their target of qualifying for the Uganda Premier League.

Yahya says they have embarked on writing a series of proposals seeking sponsors and endorsements as an avenue of boosting the financial base of the club that has before featured in the Uganda Premier League.

Cue out …. Angles in the country.”//

According to Yahya, besides the proposals, they are also popularizing the member`s subscription which most fans  perceive to be a one-off payment. Currently, members are paying an ordinary ticket of 100000 per year, while those on Bronze and Gold tickets pay 300,000 and 500,000 shillings per year respectively.

He observes that, for their target of returning and retaining their place in Uganda Premier League, they will need not just the players but the finances to push for their dream.

The Club executive Board has also gone ahead to strengthen the technical department by renewing the contracts of the technical director Leo Adra and coach Hussein Kheri. The two have been tasked with scouting for good players.
