Moses Mbokani and the Sacco chairperson Augustine Bwambale were arrested on the orders of Kasese Deputy RDC in-charge of Bukonzo County, Lt. Maate Magwara.
A parish chief and the chairperson of Buthale PDM Sacco in
Kyarumba Sub-county in Kasese district have been arrested on allegation of
swindling money meant for three Sacco members.
Moses Mbokani and the Sacco chairperson Augustine Bwambale were
arrested on the orders of Kasese Deputy RDC in-charge of Bukonzo County, Lt.
Maate Magwara.
Magwara noted that the arrest was prompted by outcries from the three members who learnt that other Sacoo members had received the money and there was no
explanation given to them on why they missed out.
They further landed on forged records where it was indicated that they
had actually received the money.
Lt. Magwara also said they are hunting for another suspect, Jethro
Bwambale, a computer operator who is suspected to have connived with the suspects
to forge recipient data.

want the RDC to investigate cases of extortion where some members had to part
