Parliament of Uganda is set to meet Kenya in the first semifinal match of the ongoing Inter-Parliamentary Games in Arusha, Tanzania. The fixture followed a goalless draw with Burundi at the Sheikh Abeid Amri Stadium last evening.

Uganda topped Group A with four points from 2 matches to go top of the group.

In Group B, Parliament of Tanzania finished top after winning Parliament of Kenya on a toss (of a coin).  Both teams had an equal number of points (4 points each) and equal goals (three each) after their games, compelling the organizers to invoke on the toss to decide the match winner.

As a result, Parliament of Tanzania is now set to take on EALA in the second match at 4.30pm.

In netball, Parliament of Kenya defeated EALA 21-7 in an entertaining match played at the netball gymnasium yesterday afternoon. Florence Chemtai was the toast of the team netting 13 goals while Hon Dorcas Kedogo nodded 8 goals.  EALA's reply came from Hon Judith Pareno and Idah Nakhabugo.

The games feature National Assemblies of the East Africa Community Partner States as well as the regional legislative assembly-EALA.
