The fire
gutted Nyerere and Mandela dormitories claiming the life of Bonus
Ankwatireire, a senior one from Isingiro district, and left three others including
Marvin Nuwenyesiga, Isaiah Ajjuna, and Amanya Lisbon nursing injuries.
The two dormitories were home to 146 students. The school
head teacher, Emmanuel Arinaitwe says they have allowed the deployment of the Uganda
Police Force and the UPDF at the school to find those behind the fire.
He says
that they have also allowed parents to visit their children and bring them
necessities since they lost all their property in the fire.
