Motorists queue up to pay toll fees at Kajjansi tolling station
Motorists have started paying toll fees along the Kampala-Entebbe expressway. Users are paying between Shillings 3,000 to Shillings 18,000 per trip with discounted rates for weekly and monthly trips.

The tolling exercise which is implemented by French Firm Egis Operations SPA started on January 8 at the plazas in Kajjansi, Busega and Mpala.  

Gen. Katumba Wamala, the Minister for Works and Transport launched the commencement of the toll collections. This after he acquired a toll card for his vehicles and interacted with tolling officers on the processes users need to follow to get cards and also pass through the tolling plazas. 

Users can either pay cash or make payments and acquire toll cards to access the 51.4 kilometre Kampala-Entebbe Expressway. Uganda Radio Network-URN brings you pictures from the launch of the tolling exercise.
