Heavy rains disrupted the Division Mayors and Councilor polls in Kampala and Wakiso municipality on Monday morning.

Voters, polling agents and officials abandoned the polling stations after they sought shelter in the nearby buildings, churches, schools and shops.

Although voting was meant to start at 7:00 am, voting started late at most polling stations because of delayed delivery of voting materials and the rains.
