President Yoweri Museveni has reassured the people of the Rwenzori Sub-region of the government's continued support for the Parish Development Model (PDM), an initiative aimed at transitioning households from the subsistence economy into the money economy.
During his visit, the President commissioned the Mubuku and Kibuku industrial hubs in Kasese and Ntoroko districts, respectively. He also launched USMID-funded civil works projects in Kasese Municipality.
Museveni concluded his tour of the sub-region with a public rally at Nyakasanga Playground in Kasese on Wednesday, urging community members to embrace the NRM ideology and support government development programs.
