Police Arrest Four for Murder in Dokolo

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Regional Spokesperson says the suspects face charges of murder contrary to sections 188 and 189 of the Penal Code Act.

Four people in Dokolo district are in police custody in connection to the death of a 42-year-old man.

The deceased has been identified as Patrick Oyuru, a resident of Okwalongen Sub County in Dokolo District.

The suspects are Tonny Okello aged 30, Lameck Aman 27, Isaac Ojede 28 and Jacob Ayok 19, all residents of Ngami Village, Aluti Parish, Dokolo District.

The suspects allegedly assaulted the deceased following a misunderstanding over alcohol. He died a day after the attack at Dokolo HC IV where he was rushed for medical attention.

The four suspects are locked up at Dokolo Central Police Station and inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
