Isah Ssemwogerere the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson says that Police transferred the dead bodies to Mulago hospital for postmortem to establish the cause of the death.
Police in Luwero district have embarked on investigations into
the mysterious death of four family members in the house on weekend.
On Sunday evening, four members were found dead in a house at
Kiyana village in Ndejje town council.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Ssesanga aged 60
years and wife Hamidah Nansamba 62. Others were Fatumah Nalwadda aged eight
years and five-year-old George Tugume , both grandchildren to the couple.
Hamza Yusuf, the LC 1 Chairman of Kiyana Village explains
that a neighbor got concerned after spending a day without seeing the family
members. Its reported that they were last seen on Friday.
Yusuf adds that he alerted relatives who said they didn’t know
their whereabouts forcing them to call their numbers but the calls went unanswered inside
Yusuf says that he alerted Policemen who broke into the
house only to find all the four dead under unclear circumstances.
He narrates that Ssesanga was found dead near the door, an indication that he was trying to open it to look for help. Others were lying dead in the dining room.
Yusuf says that there was no sign of outside attack and the
residents suspect that they could have been killed by poisoning.

establish the cause of the death.
Ssemwogerere added that the scene (of the crime) was also examined and officers picked some exhibits to help in the investigations.
“Right now we have not established the cause of the deaths, nor arrested any suspect until we get a postmortem report from Mulago hospital,”
Ssemwogerere told URN on Monday.
According to the Police crime report for 2020, at least 107
people died in Luwero district.
The breakdown of the report revealed that accidents claimed 25 lives,
13 died in mob justice, six people committed suicide and two people were poisoned.
The report further revealed that four people were killed in
domestic violence while another 51 people's cause of death remained unspecified.
