Simon Peter Zanga, the project supervisor from Geomax Engineering Company has confirmed the delayed payment, saying that they are waiting for the ministry to disburse the money so that they can also start paying their workers.
The porters who worked at
Bubungi Health Centre III in Bushika Sub-county Bududa district have staged a demonstration
protesting the delayed payment of their wages.
They claim that Geomax Engineering Company, which was contracted
by the Ministry of Health to carry out renovation at expansion works at the
facility owes them more than Shillings 10million.
The health ministry contracted Geomax
Engineering Company to construct a maternity ward, a three-stanza pit latrine, placenta pit, medical
works pit, and renovation of the outpatient department (OPD) at the same

However, the workers
who did work at the site like mixing concrete and building among other works are crying foul over delayed pay. Some of the porters like Deo

a meeting with the contractors to chart a way
