Julius K. Ishungisa, a
member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the new Chairperson
of the board of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority-PPDA.
The other members of
the seven member board include; Eng. George Bwanga from the Engineers’ board,
Rita Namakiika, Uganda Law Society, Dorothy Abola, Architects board, Xavier
Kyooma, Godfrey Ssemugooma, and Dr. Levi Kabagambe from the Finance, Planning
and Economics Development Ministry.
The State Minister for
General Duties, Gabriel Ajedra inaugurated the new board members in the Finance
Ministry boardroom on Wednesday morning.
He tasked the board to
find innovative ways of reducing corruption and look for new areas to be ring
fenced to promote the participation of local service providers.

Ishungisa served as chief internal auditor National Social Security Fund (NSSF) during
the reign of David Chandi Jamwa and Managing Director.
The new board replaces one that was led
by Prof. Simeon Wanyama, which served for the last four years.
