The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula IV, has appointed Professor Wasswa Balunywa, the Principal Makerere University Business School-MUBS, chairperson of the Busoga Royal Concept.
Balunywa will be tasked to lobby for investments and development in Busoga Kingdom.
In a press release dated June 16th 2018 and signed by Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister, Dr Joseph Muvawala, Balunywa will be assisted by two directors, Alex Luganda as Secretary and Ivan Kirya as the treasurer.
According to Muvawala, the appointments were deemed fit by the King, with an aim of strengthening the functionality of the Kingdom.
“These appointments have been made out of the good choice of our King with intent of strengthening the performance and visibility of the kingdom towards the people,” Muvawala says.
The King also made a mini-reshuffle of the cabinet.
Michael Kifubangabo, a journalist working with Baba FM, was appointed minister of mass mobilization, information and promotion of unity. He replaces Andrew Ntange.
Hashim Suleiman, the former minister of youth affairs and information technology was replaced by James Mukembo, the Jinja NRM youth chairperson.
Muvawala says that the reshuffles are still ongoing and more changes will be made at a later stage.
“This is just a mini-reshuffle but we are looking towards more changes in the cabinet and at a later time we shall communicate to you,” Muvawala notes in the letter.
