Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, says when the pupil collapsed, the unnamed teachers who caned her vanished from the school.

He told URN on Wednesday evening that they had only managed to collect scanty information since most of the teachers and administrators had already left by the time detectives arrived at the school.
