Pupil Wanted for Stabbing his Friend to Death Over Girl

The two are said to have clashed when the deceased confronted the suspect, whose identity has been withheld because he is a minor accusing him of dating his girlfriend. It is alleged that the suspect picked up a knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest during the ensuing brawl.
A 10-year-old pupil of Buwali primary school in Bududa district is at the large for stabbing his friend to death in a fight. The suspect is wanted for stabbing 16-year-old Sam Watsosi, a senior two student at Bulucheke secondary school on Monday this week over a girl.

The two are said to have clashed when the deceased confronted the suspect, whose identity has been withheld because he is a minor accusing him of dating his girlfriend. It is alleged that the suspect picked up a knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest during the ensuing brawl.  

Watsosi was rushed to Bududa hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect went into hiding together with his wife, John Mukamba. Jaffar Magyezi, the Bududa District Police Commander has called for calm from the deceased’s family, saying the suspect will be tracked down and charged accordingly.

He also warned youths against moving sharp items like knives and machetes, saying they will be arrested. The community members in Bunamubi trading center where the incident happened accuse the suspect’s father of giving him a lot of liberty, saying he is never punished whenever he goes wrong.

Charles Mutabali Kibeti, the LC I Chairperson Bunamubi trading center regretted the incident and asked parents to keep a kin eye on their children to avoid such incidents. James Warambwa, the Bukigai Sub county LC III Chairperson and grandfather to the deceased asked all parents to tame their children. 

He dismissed claims by some parents that their children are unmanageable, saying this shouldn’t happen because they are the masters of their children.
