Residents Lynch Suspected Thief

He says Stuart had colleagues operating in the districts of Masindi,Luwero Hoima town and Kampala and that after stealing items from Hoima he takes them to the colleagues in those districts in order for the stolen items to be sold.

A suspected thief has been lynched and his body set ablaze in Hoima district.

The dead thief has been identified as Stuart, a resident of Kiryandongo Village, Kigorobya Sub County.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, says that Stuart with two others still at large on Sunday Morning broke into the house of the Gombolola Internal security officer (GISO) Kigorobya, John Asiimwe and stole several household items including Hoofers, DVD player, a Television set and mattress.

He says that before the thieves could escape, the wife of Asiimwe, made an alarm, attracting residents who managed to arrest Stuart. They lynched him before setting his body ablaze.

The two other thieves managed to escape thugs and they are currently on the run.

Hakiza says Stuart has for long been on the police's wanted list for stealing Motorcycles, cows and goats in Masindi, Luwero and Hoima municipality.
