Police
in Kapchorwa District are investigating the circumstances under which a retired
deputy head teacher was hacked to death by unknown assailants on Thursday
night.
Patrick Mangusho, a retired deputy head teacher
of Kobil Primary School, was attacked at his home in Nalubanga Village,
Kaptono Parish, Kaserem Sub County.'

him instantly.
“The
police received the information from Kenneth Sabila, a resident who heard the
victim screaming for help. He rushed to the scene and later informed police,”
Chesang said.
Chesang
added that by the time officers arrived at the scene, the deceased was found
lying in a pool of blood. He said the motive behind the murder is still
unclear, but investigations are ongoing.
Kapchorwa Resident District Commissioner, Martin Sakajja, has urged
residents to remain vigilant, especially during the ongoing political season.
“We
have observed that criminal activities, including assaults, tend to increase
during this period as political tensions rise. We are going to intensify night
patrols,” Sakajja said.
