Unknown Assailants Hack Rwandan Laborer

According to Okotto, the assailants broke the door of the room to gain entry and cut the deceased to death. He says the assailants also cut Kabili when he tried to rescue Ndabereye leaving him with serious injuries.

Unknown assailants have hacked to death a Rwandan laborer in Kisoro district. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Elysee Ndabereye, a resident of Kabeza village in Musanze district in Northern Rwanda.

 

Kisoro District Police Commander, Charles Okotto, says the assailants attacked Ndabereye around 5am on Monday morning. He was sleeping in his rented room belonging to a resident only identified as Kabili when the assailants struck.

 

According to Okotto, the assailants broke the door of the room to gain entry and cut the deceased to death. He says the assailants also cut Kabili when he tried to rescue Ndabereye leaving him with serious injuries.

 

Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, says Kabili is admitted at Mutorere hospital in critical condition while the deceased's body has been taken to Kisoro Hospital mortuary for postmortem. 

Maate says they have launched a manhunt for the suspects vide police file number CRB1114/2018.
