A 29-year-old Rwandan national has been killed in Kamwezi sub-county, Rukiga district.

Augustine Kwizera, a resident of Kabarondo in Kayonza District Province in Rwanda was killed on Monday night at around 10:00 PM at town trading centre. He was allegedly killed by Anastasia Munyambibi aged, 58, also a Rwandan national and casual labourer in Kamwezi sub-county.

According to Eliano Kirt Mukandayisenga, a wife to the deceased, it all started when Munyambibi refused Kwizera from punishing his seven-year-old child.

The two started exchanging bitter words after Munyambibi intervened to stop Kwizera from beating the child. Mukandayisenga says that in the process, Munyambibi picked a stone and hit Kwizera’s head and fled.

She says that Kwizera over bled and was rushed to Kamwezi health centre IV where he died.

Mukandayisenga says that the fight escalated after Kwizera abused Munyambibi arguing that he has no authority and capacity to stop him from beating his biological child.
