reportedly disbursed by Uganda Wildlife
Authority under Revenue Sharing program for people neighboring Queen Elizabeth
National Park and while the rest was local revenue.
The money was meant to
finance different projects in specific Parishes
like construction of water tanks and income generating projects.
Kimunyu, the Ryeru Sub County LC 3 Chairperson, says he had earlier warned the
chief about accountability but he didn’t heed to his warning.

says that they had planned for the money but didn’t receive their share.

been implementing several activities without council approval.

However, Musinguzi denies any wrong doing, saying it was council
that resolved that they halt all business for the 2019/20 financial year and
use the money to buy land for the proposed Ryeru Seed School.

was purchased by the committee and people can testify that they were all paid
for the land.
