The suspect identified as Victor Ahire aged 23-years old was hired to guard a banana plantation in Nyakirango II Ward, Nyakiyumbu Sub County, Kasese district.
Police in Kasese District have arrested a security guard
for allegedly stabbing a 44-year-old man to death.
The suspect identified as Victor Ahire aged 23 years old
was hired to guard a banana plantation in Nyakirango II Ward, Nyakiyumbu Sub
County, Kasese district.
It is alleged that Ahire stabbed Wilson Muhindo Kisungunghu after he
unlawfully entered the plantation with the intent to steal bananas.
Nelson Tumushime, the Rwenzori East Police spokesperson
says that Muhindo resisted arrest and attempted to fight the guard
who in turn stabbed him in the chest and he died on the spot.
He adds police have picked relevant information to aid in
investigations.
