Parents of Bukise
primary school in Bukise Sub County in Sironko district destroyed the school
garden on Monday to protest the transfer of the Head teacher.

transfer of the school head teacher, Emma Wangwe.

heard that Wangwe had been replaced by Beatrice Nandutu as head teacher.

to express their dissatisfaction with the transfer of Wangwe.
Wilberforce Wandela, a
parent, says they are opposed to the transfer of Wangwe, saying he has brought
development to the school within a very short time compared to his predecessor.

Patrick Mulyalya, another parent praised Wangwe for uplifting
the school in terms of teacher’s commitment towards duty, improving
enrollment and performance.

Moses Nambale, the
Sironko District Education Officer called for calm amongst parents, saying that
they have halted the transfer plans.

chairperson condemned the parent’s conduct over something he termed minor.
He cautioned them against taking the law in their hands and
advised them to find other peaceful means to address their issues.

said Wangwe has been acting head teacher that is why they wanted to post a
substantive Head teacher.
