Apac district education department has demoted six primary school head teachers and transferred them to work as classroom teachers over poor performance in PLE.
They include Alphonse Otim of Akokoro Primary School, Faustino Otim of Onyany P.7, Constantine Tyang of Alado P.7, Claxon Egwang of Amoocal P.7, Justine Oleke of Akeeto P.7 school and James Okello of Abedi Primary school.

According to Okunuyu, some of the head teachers have been performing so poorly in the administration and failing to manage funds meant to finance UPE activities among others.
Jasper Odongo, the District Secretary of Education said the demoted head teachers failed to meet the requirements of at least five children and above passing in Division one and having less than five candidates in Division U.
Okello notes that the head teachers are yet to be subjected to further investigations to ascertain other factors that could have affected their performance.
This is the first time in many years Apac district has demoted head teachers.
Apac district emerged 56th with about 5.4% of candidates passing in Division one.
