Soroti Regional Referral Hospital has disposed off about 60 kilograms of expired drugs and hospital supplies. Paul Ajuk, the senior administrator says the drugs were supplied in excess and couldn't be consumed before their expiry dates.

Our reporter saw heaps of thedrugs amd medical supplies such as syringes and test kits being emptied from two containers. A nurse who spoke on condition of anonymity told URN that some of the drugs were donations to the hospital by well-wishers who brought them when they were a few days to expiry.
