One Held for Killing Truck Driver

According to George Obia, the Moroto District Police Commander, Lodat was picked up by crime preventers who heard him asking his relatives to cross to Kenya after killing a UPDF truck driver. Obia says the suspect will soon appear in court to answer murder related charges.

Moroto police are holding the prime suspect in the murder of a marble truck driver in the district last week. The suspect is Atanyang Lodat, a resident of Napetawi village, Tapac Parish in Tapac Sub County in Moroto district.

 

 

His ally Lolem Lowal is believed to be on the run in North Pokot district of Kenya. George Obia, the Moroto District Police Commander, says Lodat is wanted for shooting to death John Kapere, a driver attached to Victor Traders in Kampala.

 

 

Kapere was shot dead by an arrow as he cleared the road on Wednesday night at around 08:45 pm. The incident happened Nalup' akwang village, Timingorok parish in Tapac Sub County along Moroto-Kitale road.
