Tamale died on Tuesday at Kisubi hospital where he has been for over a month battling lung complications.
Tamale-Mirundi, often a controversial figure served as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s spokesperson for 13 years until 2015 when he was dropped and appointed advisor.
Murindi has been a regular television and radio commentator often defending National Resistance Movement positions. Recently he was appointed as the spokesperson of the Patriotic League of Uganda in Buganda, a political pressure group headed by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba the Chief of Défense Forces.
Details about Tamale-Mirundi’s burial are not yet known. He was born in 1964 at Matale in Kalisizo in present-day Kyotera district to Yowana Mirundi and Molly Namatovu. He graduated from Makerere University with a degree in mass communication.
