Police in Greater Bushenyi have arrested three people for allegedly killing a former Teacher in Sheema District.

Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson says that the suspects identified as Kato Stephen, Magezi Victor, and Turyasingura Stuart attacked Nyehangane Godfrey Tabandama 72, at his home in Nyamiyaga cell Kabwohe division and robbed unspecified properties which include a television screen and mobile phone.

According to Tumusiime, Tabandama's body was found lying on its back and his legs were tied with banana fibres. He adds that blood was also oozing from the mouth and nose, however, there were no physical injuries on the body.

Tumusiime says that the police's canine dog was introduced to the crime scene and it led the officers to the room of Magezi, who was one of the deceased's casual workers.

Tashobya Daniel, a resident of the same area says that they were concerned when they failed to see Tabandama in the morning.

"Every day, Tabandama wakes up early and greets everyone on his way to his garden. However, today was different. It was almost 8 o'clock and I hadn't seen him yet, so I decided to check on him, to my shock, I found him dead in his dining room."

Kasule Consilata, the Sheema District Police Commander, says investigations are ongoing.
