The deceased identified as Morish Nyeko, a resident of Balongo village in Pella parish, Omiya Anyima was found dead lying in clotted blood on sunday morning.
Police in Kitgum District
have arrested three suspects in connection with the death of a 41-year-old man.

dead lying in blood on Sunday morning.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa
River Region Police Spokesperson says Nyeko sustained deep cuts on his head that
caused excessive bleeding.
He says preliminary police report
indicates that the deceased fell on a sharp stone head first after being
reportedly pushed from a shop where he was drinking alcohol along with the suspects
in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Okema has identified the suspects
arrested as Nelson Tabu, a shop owner where the incident happened, Betty
Arach and Richard Okeny, all residents of Pella Parish.
According to Okema, the suspects
will help the police during investigations into ascertaining the exact cause of Nyeko’s
death.
A case of murder has been
recorded under file number CRB 469 at Kitgum Central Plice station were the
suspects are being detained pending investigations.
Julius Peter Otto, the Omiya
Anyima Sub County LC III Chairperson says the incident was regrettable and
warned locals against heavy consumption of alcohol late in the night.
This is the second murder
incident recorded from the same village in a space of two months. In June this
year, a man was also killed in Pella parish by unknown assailants over land related
issues.
