URN couldn’t get a comment from the officers guarding Bisaka’s headquarters on why they arrested the journalists and ordered them to delete the footage they had recorded.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson told URN he wasn’t aware about the arrest and detention of journalists.

Rumors about Bisaka’s purported death have been doing rounds on social media since Monday. However, there has been no official confirmation from his handlers, family, government or followers.

By Tuesday evening, security had sealed off the entrance to Bisaka’s headquarters. Currently, no one is allowed to access the area unlike in the past where people could freely access it.
