Security personnel have rescued three people who were abducted by suspected Karamojong Jie warriors on Wednesday in Abim district.

The Abim Resident District Commissioner Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka says that the rescue followed a manhunt by Local Defence Unit (LDU) who managed to pursue the captors and rescue their hostages on Thursday.

It’s reported that the three people were kidnapped after they fell into an ambush of the suspected Karimajong warriors in Omwangu forest reserve in Mission ward village, Kiru Town Council.
