Two people have been arrested for alleged murder in
Kaabong town.
The suspects whose identities police declined to reveal were arrested on Thursday for allegedly strangling to death Lopira and Lemu from the same
family on Monday at Kapilan Bar Village in Kaabong Town
Council.
The victims, both residents of Kamacarikol village in Kathile South Sub County
had reportedly sold some animals. Their bodies were discovered on Wednesday
floating in an open water tank in Kapilan Bar Village, prompting the police to
swing into action.
The DPC Kaabong Gerald Gubira says that two people alleged to have
strangled the victims to death were arrested during an operation.

There has been a string of killings in Kaabong since 2018 and the suspects
are yet to be prosecuted in courts of law.
