Two people have Tuesday afternoon died after they were buried at a stone quarry in Lira district.
Janet Apili (39), and Santo Obol, both residents of Okii village,Ngetta sub county, died after they were buried while quarrying.
The incident occurred at around 1pm.
Two other two people were injured during the incident. They are Tony Ojok, and Fiona Akulu (12).
They have been admitted at Lira regional referral hospital where they are receiving treatment.

He says most residents of this village earn their living from stone quarrying at this site.
North Kyoga regional police commander Manshur Suwed, who also visited the scene, says police has suspended any activities at this site following the incident.
He says this was the first incident to be recorded at this site.
The bodies of the deceased have been brought to Lira regional referral hospital for post-mortem and will be taken to Lira military barracks for preservations pending burial.
