Two Poisoned in Nakasongola

Paul Kangave, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, says the family arrived on Monday evening at the farm of Bazanye from Iganga district where they were to take up casual labor.

Nakasongola Police are investigating the death of a man and his daughter due to suspected poisoning. 

The dead are Abdul Magumba Awila and his 2-year- old daughter only identified as Mable, both residents of Nalubobya village in Kalongo Sub County.

Magumba's wife, Evelyn Ayinga is admitted at Bamugolodde Health Center 111 with severe stomach pains. 

Paul Kangave, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, says the family arrived on Monday evening at the farm of Bazanye from Iganga district where they were to take up casual labor.

He however, says Magumba and his daughter were found dead in the morning, while Ayinga was complaining of stomach pain. Kangave says preliminary police investigations show that two died of poisoning.

Police are waiting for Evelyn Ayinga to recover to help with investigations. Police have transferred the bodies of the deceased to Nakasongola Health Center IV for postmortem.
