The two bodies were recovered on Tuesday in Apeded Village, Namalu Sub County, and Katanga Village, Nakapiripirit Town Council, respectively.
Police are picking up the body from the crime scene.
Police in the Mt Moroto region are investigating the circumstances
under which two people were killed in separate incidents in Nakapiripirit
district.
The bodies were recovered on Tuesday in Apeded Village, Namalu
Sub County, and Katanga Village, Nakapiripirit Town Council, respectively.
In Namalu Sub County, the body of Nakee Alice, a 75-year-old woman, a resident of Apeded Village, was discovered. It is reported that Nakee disappeared on May 10, 2025, after
a dispute with a neighbour over a land dispute.
Her body was later found on Tuesday in a river, and a
postmortem examination concluded that the cause of death was suffocation.
Mike Longole, the Mt Moroto Regional Police Spokesperson, confirmed
the incident, stating that they have opened a case file and are conducting
further investigations into the circumstances surrounding Nakee's death.
On Tuesday, the body of a 25-year-old man was discovered in Katanga Village, Nakapiripirit Town Council.
Police identified the deceased as Gabriel Lochoro, a
resident of the above address.
According to the preliminary report, Lochoro was stabbed to
death following a dispute with Adam Ipopo over a woman.
Longole said that they have arrested suspects, and some evidence
was recovered at the scene.
