Isah Ssemwogerere, the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson, says that police are yet to identify the second victim because they didn’t find any identification document on his body.
Two motorcyclists in Nakasongola district have been found dead. One of the motorcyclists has been identified as Emmanuel Bogere, a Boda boda rider at Nakasongola Barracks Stage in Nakasongola town council.

His lifeless body was found in Namayonjo zone in Nakasongola town on Wednesday morning following two days of searching. Richard Migadde, a Boda boda rider, says that Bogere was last seen around 3 pm on Monday.

He says that they launched a hunt for his whereabouts only to get information at around 9; 00 am that his lifeless was lying in the bushes in Namayonjo village. According to Migadde, the deceased’s body had deep wounds in the neck, which implies that he was cut by a knife and his motorcycle registration number UFE 612C was robbed.

Another unidentified motorcyclist was also found dead around 2:30 pm on Tuesday in the forest at Katuugo town council. David Ssemayobe, the LC 1 Chairman of Katuugo village, says that a group of herdsmen grazing cattle found the body.

Ssemayobe explains that he immediately alerted police, which picked the dead body and transferred it to Nakasongola Health Center IV for postmortem. The deceased rider was wearing a pair of blue jeans trousers, a white -shirt and white canvas.

Ssemayobe says that they suspect the deceased was a motorcyclist because they found an empty toolbox and user manual for motorcycles at the scene. Isah Ssemwogerere, the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson, says that police are yet to identify the second victim because they didn’t find any identification document on his body.

Ssemwogerere says that the deceased is believed to have been stabbed in the neck before he was killed and his motorcycle robbed. At least 23 robbery cases and 31 homicide cases were reported in Nakasongola in 2020, according to the Police Annual Crime Report.
