The Chief Invigilator for the on-going Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examination (UACE) at Padibe Girl`s Comprehensive Secondary School in Lamwo district, Felix Okot has been accused of sneaking out with two female students.

Felix Okot, reportedly went out with the two female students who are in the school`s hostel to a nearby pub in the trading centre last week and bought them soft drinks before returning them to the school later that same night. But he is now in trouble with his bosses who have withheld his pay over the alleged unethical, gross misconduct.

In a letter dated, 20th April 2021 seen by URN, Bernard Okumu who is the head of the centre pins Okot over being indisciplined by moving out with the two female students who are all sitting for their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examination (UACE) from the centre.

He has consequently halted the services of Okot as the Chief Invigilator in the UACE Centre U1592 until he explains in writing to the Head of the Centre why he moved out in the night with two of the female students up to the pub yet they need permission from the school.

In the same letter Okumu pointed out that Okot`s dues for invigilation will not be paid until he explains in writing why he sneaked the girls out of the dormitory at night.

However, Okot has denied the allegations against him, noting that he found the female students in the trading centre that night and he bought them sodas upon their request.

He added that he later escorted them back to the school and left them at the school gate on their request citing that they fear moving back alone in the heavy night.

By press time Okot had not written back to Okumu explaining reasons for his actions.

URN has learnt that the two female students have also been expelled from the hostel and are now commuting for their exams from home in the company of their parents.
