The deceased is identified as Cosma Bakainaga, a resident of the same area while the injured have been identified as Maria Tindikawa, the deceased’s wife and Juliet Asiimwe who is also a daughter to the deceased.

Unknown assailants on Wednesday raided Gayaza B
Village in Pachwa sub county Kagadi district hacking a 70-year-old man to death
before critically injuring two others.

Bakainaga, a resident of the same area. Bakainaga's wife Maria Tindikawa and their daughter Juliet Asiimwe where also injured during the attack.
It is alleged that on Wednesday night at
around 11p.m, unknown assailants armed with machetes raided the home of
Bakainaga and hacked him on the head, face and neck killing him on the
spot. They later turned against his wife Tindikawa and his daughter Asiimwe who they also hacked leaving them with injuries.
Bakainaga's wife was rushed in critical condition to
Kinyarugonjo health Center IV for treatment where they are currently being

told Uganda Radio Network in an interview that they were alerted by family members of the deceased following an attack. Bigirwenkya says although residents rushed to
the scene to help, they found when the assailants had already fled.
He says he alerted Kagadi Police who later picked Bakainaga’s body and took it to Kagadi General hospital for postmortem. The two other injured victims were
rushed to Kinyarugonjo health Center IV for treatment.
