Omoro police are hunting for the assailants behind the
billing of a 38-year-old woman over the weekend. The deceased has been identified as Irene
Apiyo, a resident of Uum village in Koro Sub-County.

says Apiyo's lifeless body was discovered around 4:00 pm on Sunday.
She is suspected to have been killed by unknown
assailants. A case of murder has been entered at Koro Police Station vide
SD REF:13/18/10/2020. The Aswa River River Region Police Spokesperson, Patrick
Jimmy Okema, says Scene of Crime Officers visited the area and evacuated the deceased’s
body to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem.
According to Okema, police have commenced investigations to
identify the killers. He has appealed to members of the public to assist police
investigations by providing clues that may lead to the identification of the
assistants.
